Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Matt Siu graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. He then went on to earn a dual degree in Masters of Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry.

During his training at the University Eye Center Contact Lens Clinic in Manhattan, he focused on the evaluation and fitting of specialty contact lenses, including multifocal, orthokeratology (corneal reshaping therapy) gas permeable, hybrid, scleral lenses, and prosthetics in patients with various and complicated anterior segment diseases. He also served at the Ezra Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he diagnosed and treated ocular disease and binocular vision disorders in both the pediatric and adult populations. Before settling down in the Bay Area, Dr. Siu practiced in Baltimore, where he gained valuable experience working with eye care specialists from Johns Hopkins University and Wills Eye Hospital. He is committed to providing comprehensive and personalized eye care.

Dr. Siu is a member of the American Optometric Association. He is certified to treat glaucoma. He is fluent in Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese. He enjoys cooking and traveling.

Dr. Tania Mantua has been a partner at EyeWish Optometry since 2007 and enjoys private practice in Novato. She finds it fulfilling to work with patients year after year and to get to know each person. Dr. Mantua grew up in Bodega Bay, California and attended Tomales High School. She went on to Santa Rosa Junior College and then transferred to the University of California, Davis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1985. She then attended and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1990 and completed a residency at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Medical Center in Low Vision and Rehabilitative Optometry in 1991. She worked for the Livermore Veterans' Affairs Medical Center and then worked at Optima Medical Associates. Dr. Mantua also served as a clinical professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and is an Administrator for Vision Source.

Dr. Mantua is active in local professional groups and volunteering her time for local vision clinics as well as service trips for Lions in Sight, where she is a board member, and has visited far off lands like Nepal, Peru, Brazil, Ukraine, most of Central America and the Philippines. Her other interests include kayaking, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family and pets.

​​​​​Dr. Lora Pond has been practicing optometry in Novato since 1986. She graduated with Honors and received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and graduated in the top 2% of her class. Dr. Pond has been very active in the community through the Ignacio Rotary Club, the Novato Chamber of Commerce, and the Novato Lions Club. She will be a board member in the Novato Lions Club. She participates with the volunteer organization, Lions in Sight, with her daughter Noel, for many years and many vision clinics, mostly in Latin America. She has been a consultant for the Lions clubs with their school screenings. She enjoys hiking, running, jewelry making, studying Spanish and dance. She also enjoys working on complicated contact lens fittings.
